The Mission
Statement of our Association is:
“To provide and promote
the best possible support for people living with Motor Neurone Disease, their
families and carers and to raise public awareness”
and to accomplish this,
funds are in on-going need. Although we
are not able assist our patients financially, we provide equipment such as
Bi-Pap machines [which facilitates breathing] wheelchairs, walkers, commodes,
raised toilet seats, and other aids, to assist them with their day to day
activities and give them some quality of life.
Our Consultants visit patients, counsel families and carers and arrange
monthly support groups where patients and carers can
interact.
So a big thank you to
Sandy Bailey for organizing the lunch at Buitenverwachting, Philippa Jolly for
the suggestion, to the members and guests of “The Thursday Club”, to each and everyone who attended and
contributed in any way to make the donation of R5,255 (Five thousand two hundred and fifty five
Rand) possible. This donation and your
generous support is very much appreciated and will greatly assist us in our
aim.
